Margaret and Rob were amazing hosts! Their cottage is located on their 5 acre ranch about a 20 minute drive from Tauranga. Once you arrive it is absolutely heaven. We were very tired our first day and they treated us like dear friends. Margaret had fresh baked cookies, homemade muesli, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, teas, milk, jams and an assortment of fresh fruits waiting for us. We showered in rain water and ate the most delicious fruits and vegetables right from their garden. My skin was like silk after a week there! Since Margaret and Rob are long time locals, they gave us great advice daily on the wonderful things to see and do in the area. Their suggestions were SO much better than the usual tourist traps! We had an incredible stay and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to decompress and enjoy the peace, quiet and bounty of rural New Zealand. Thank you Margaret and Rob for an experience we will never forget.

From the moment my partner and I walked into Margaret and Rob's beautiful property, we were instantly made to feel welcome. They met us at their front door and showed us around the studio which even featured some of Margaret's amazing homemade muesli (great with yogurt in the morning) and cookies (absolutely delicious and perfect with a cup of tea in the late afternoon). The studio was very modern and immaculately clean which set us up for a more than comfortable stay. Their extensive knowledge of the surrounding areas ensured that all of their recommendations were spot on. Rob's glowing review of Rotorua Canopy Tours (zip lining) persuaded us to make a booking for the next day and we had an incredible time! Before we left, they also recommended that we check out the Rimu Loop Walk up the road from their house, the "Secret Spot", Huka Falls and Taupo on our drive to Wellington (all of which we did, making our last full day in New Zealand a stellar one which we'll never forget). They also cooked us a lovely breakfast to make sure we had a good start to the day on our journey to Wellington on our last morning there (Rob's poached eggs are awesome!) which we really appreciated. Thank you Margaret and Rob for making our stay in Oropi so wonderful. Thanks for showing us the great Kiwi hospitality and all the best with your B&B. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the city and experience a very special country stay.

Margaret and Rob made my stay in and my whole trip to New Zealand really unique: They are such nice people and from the first moment on, I felt not only welcome, I felt really comfortable and being at home. They have a very nice house, all neat and tidy, and the room is just impeccable: nice design and interiors! And the surroundings make the place - at least for me - mystical and special! We had interesting talks right from the beginning, and had good conversations about almost everything. They showed me the most interesting places/attractions off-the-beaten track, and took their time to show me around, give me tips for my whole travels. This place is an absolute must. Money can't buy, words can't express what I gained from this visit! THANK YOU!

My husband and I chose to stay at Rolling Hills Country Stay BnB for 5 nights during our honeymoon. It was the perfect "home base" for all the sights and activities we wanted to see and do. Margaret and Rob were the most welcoming, kind, funny and gracious hosts. As wonderful as our honeymoon was, I can honestly say booking with them made our honeymoon even better than we could have imagined! Their newly constructed studio was beautiful and the surrounding property was quiet and peaceful. They have put so much heart and hard work into their home. Their house is only a minute or two away from the Otanewainuku forest, so we took advantage of the gorgeous hike/walk to Whataroa Falls. It was one of the many great suggestions Rob and Margaret had for us in reference to the surrounding area. They offer a great self-serve breakfast nook, but we were also invited into their home for a delicious warm breakfast. We wish we could have stayed longer...our time there was absolutely wonderful!
