Things to do in the neighbourhood
We are a great base to explore from - just 20 min to trendy restaurants in Tauranga and 45 min to geothermal Rotorua, or 50 min to Matamata for the Hobbiton Movie Set.
The beautiful Otanewainuku Forest is on our doorstep with several walking options to choose from. The shortest is the Rimu Loop walk showcasing the giant Rimus that still remain, the Trig walk with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Bay of Plenty or the Whataroa Waterfall walk for a cool swim on a hot day.

Must do's:
Otanewainuku Forest, just up the road from us. Walk and swim at the Whataroa waterfall or walk up to the Trig for a panoramic view over the Bay of Plenty.
Visit Mt Maunganui, with it's walk around the base or up for a lovely view. A beautiful swimming beach, plenty of eateries and eclectic shops to visit.
Canopy Tours, go zip lining in virgin forest in Rotorua - very exhilarating!
